Welcome to another Tablescape Tuesday!
http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ There are dreamy tables to look at, so be sure to check it out....and drool...just a little bit.
These sweet little glass dessert dishes are from my hubby's grandmother-passed down to us. I used gold ornaments in them. The gold placemats are from Walmart, I've had the gold silverware for years. The dishes and fabric napkins are from Walmart and/or Thrift stores. I collect a lot of white dishes for our large family gatherings.

The fun thing is....this was so inexpensive! I usually use white dishes and just change placemats or tablecloths. The nativity scene was from "Big Lots"....

Next I saw a beautiful picture years ago of a nativity scene set up in a very large urn! I jotted down a scribbled picture...it was years ago before digital cameras! So then I came home and tried to replicate it. I like the idea of it being elevated, and the rest of the nativity group is at the base of the urn.

I added some gold wired ribbon-and printed out cards that celebrate Christmas with a special saying.

This tablesetting won't last long on my table...my two sons and daughter in love are coming home for Christmas in a week....YIPPPPEEE. So the cooking will begin, and washing dishes, etc. And I love it! I made up my mind I don't mind washing dishes, I just put on Christmas music and do it as quickly as possible! I am thankful for everyone being home!
Blessings to you all!
Debbie

The shades of gold are wonderful. Your table covering, placemats, flatware, gold wired ribbon, trim on the nativity pieces, and even the print on your cards bring home the "golden moment" being celebrated. Lovely.
