Merry Christmas everyone! I loved seeing what was going in blog land with "The Nester" showing your garland, So I just had to join in!
http://nestingplacenc.blogspot.com/...take a look, there are some amazing garlands and every one is lovely and different!

I live in an old farmhouse with a wood stove and no mantel! So my garland is on top of our book cases (filled with farm how-to manuals). I use 2-3 garlands, pinecones, glittery poinsettias, little snowflake framed photos of our family, glass icicles....

nests filled with eggs, little birds, sparkly lights....

snowmen...

I had to add the rooster (we live on a chicken ranch-and I'm the head farmer's chick) The words on the beam across the living room say "Blessed shall you be in the country!"

Here I have some more garland over my china hutches in the dining room...

greenery, red berry branches, more roosters and lots of red poinsettias...

Last I have a hoosier that I have a real pine garland over, mixed in with my gingerbread collection
http://ribbonwoodcottage.blogspot.com/2008/12/lovin-that-gingerbread-decor-and-little.html the garland weaves in and out of glass jars filled with faux candies and faux baked goods and some real candy canes, old kitchen flour sifters, and cookie cutters....they are small so it is hard to see.

Well thanks for coming by for the fun garland tour and thank you "Nester" for heading up the FUN!
Blessings,
Debbie

I love your garlands...your home looks so festive and beautiful!!!
The garlands are beautiful. I love them both. It is a good thing I don't have to pick which one I like better because I couldn't.
How pretty all your garlands look. Wish I had your touch.
Your garlands are all beautiful! I really love the nest on the one and all the red details on the other. They are fabulous!

Debbie....gosh, I love the garland with all the natural elements...the bird nest and pinecones! It's so lush looking!
But I also have a fondness for the fresh pines too and I love what you have it mixed with!

I am SO in love with that nature inspired garland. You really took it to the nines!!! Just beautiful!
Your garlands are so pretty. I must get back to garlands. The last time I used one was a cheap evergreen one that I tied to the banister and added a little ribbon and a few colored balls. It was very unimpressive and I still have the thing stuffed in a box. Maybe next year I'll get creative and do something with it.
Your table settings are gorgeous in the post below.
