Had to hide my labeler!

Hello everyone! Have you joined yet...the ThriftyDecorChick @http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/ for more organizing fun and deluttering!!!! We have been cleaning, decluttering, organizing... well mostly me, my daughter has helped (while hubby sits and watches "Planet Earth" on the tv)...I ended up having to hide my labeler which I love. Hubby would sit and play with it and use up all the labels! Or run the battery down...so...
I had to place it nearby...

where I could find it...

but he wouldn't know where it is! I think I succeeded! Hahha, men!

He will never know!

I love the look of this cubby hole all organized (photo:country living)

and I love how this looks organized, possibly different colors, but I love all the boxes, stacking them, organizing them (I think Better Homes photo)

I am in the process of major organizing-files, computer info, craft info, church music, college financial aid...and then all the farm periodicals we get! YOwZa!

Heaven forbid I throw one thing away, it is always the one he is looking for!

http://www.realsimple.com/realsimple/package/0,21861,1738886,00.html I think you will love this...there are ideas galore and forms to print out for being organized...I like the idea of keeping myself on track. Rather than make lists I can't follow I am writing down what I have accomplished. I am clearing out drawers, closets, old shoes!

http://orgjunkie.com/getting-started
many amazing ideas...this gal will get you jump started if you aren't motivated to start. You will be after you read some of her sections (there is surely a section that will motivate you!)...

http://www.realsimple.com/realsimple/gallery/0,21863,1573494-40,00.html I am so impressed with this web site, it has free printables and ideas for running your home a little smoother.
For free calendars and forms for your home this is a great site to visit and print off as many as you need!
http://www.printfree.com/calendars.htm
This is just one of their calendars they offer.

If you will check out my post here @http://ribbonwoodcottage.blogspot.com/2008/12/do-it-yourself-planner.html I show how to organize and make your own planner using free printables off the internet!

I'm off to make some cute calendars for every room! Bye!

Debbie,

Good luck with the organization, I know it makes my life smooth. I laughed when you told of hiding your labeler; why is it that everyone owns their "own" things but mom/wife things are community property? This is the way it is in my house and it bugs me.

I so want to be organized like in the magazines! The problem is, I'm too cheap to buy all of the pretty stuff! LOL I do need to break down and buy a few of the white boxes at Wal-Mart in the craft dept and then I can pretty them up for Aften. She needs something to put all of her art supplies in. At least we picked the pantry with the doors instead of the bookshelf I originally wanted to buy for her room last year...shut the doors and nobody knows :D

Happy organizing and decluttering :)

You are on a roll girl! I was like that when I quit working. I am not doing a once over to make sure it gets back to where it was.

Okay, Debbie, did you HAVE to leave that last scripture? Now I feel convicted to organize! lol!

I really admire your orderliness! I need to tackle that around here! And I WANT one of those labelers! I bet they're expensive, huh?

Okay, I'm going to check out some of your links!
