This is soooo Corny!

Hello again, just showing a few varieties of the Hopi corn we planted quite awhile ago, the stalks had a freeze and weren't good for eating but we are saving the seed for next year..,.it is a very sweet corn!
It is funny because my farmer hubby is happiest when I am outside with him doing this kind of stuff...he comes inside in a great mood, happy that we accomplished something, food for the table...he can't wait to plant again!

Wow that is alot of corn!
Sweet potatoes...yum

We used this incredible recipe, it is definitely worth trying!

Bruce's® Traditional Holiday Yam & Pecan Casserole
3 cups Bruce's Mashed Yams® or Bruces's Cut Yams® mashed
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 stick melted butter
Mix above and pour in greased 8 x 13 pan.
Topping
1 cup brown sugar1/3 cup self-rising flour1/3 cup melted butter
Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top of potatoes. Add 1 cup chopped pecan halves sprinkled on top.
Bake 30 minutes at 350.

My husband added a little cinnamon and a little more brown sugar to this...we spread the topping over the sweet potatoe mixture...we made quite a bit for our church Thanksgiving dinner...

I cannot tell you how delicious this was. It was so good!
I wish you all the most wonderful Thanksgiving! Bless you.
Debbie
