He saw me playing the piano in chapel and wondered who I was...a ditzy freshman...but I struck a 'chord' shall we say musically in his little farmers heart. We met later when I donned a nurses uniform, dressed up for some silly college day, with a "new" enema bag around my neck. I filled it with water, and as people walked by me I would squirt them from behind. Oh that was soo much fun, he was intrigued and wanted to meet me...after I drenched him...I had no idea he was the assistant Dean of Men!
He brought me home to meet his family...they stood at the front room window and laughed hysterically while I was outside (I found out much later) as I helped him shovel turkey manure onto the area to be gardened...in my designer jeans...they howled as I wore my cute little outfit(after all we weren't engaged yet) while I planted beans, squash, corn. He had three sisters that I had to prove myself too. They didn't think a woman with makeup and foofy hair could farm...so I had to show them! Years later farmer hubby asks me to plant (1,000) brocolli plant/starter plants...and I said "are you kidding? I'm heading to the craft store...I'm out of glitter!"

Many, many years later....as we still make music together (I'll get a line, you get a pole honey...)
I have found new ways to sparkle...Martha Stewart glitter...it is everywhere.
I asked my husband after I was finished with this project if he noticed anything different about me? He said I sparkled...literally...my heart again swoons...

Tomorrow I will share my most embarassing moment with my hubby during my college days! Tomorrow also starts my week of "Christmas planners and ideas" so stay tuned!
Blessings,
Debbie

Hi Debbie,
My husband and I moved out of the town my parents lived in 4 years ago. So every morning I have a cup of coffee and talk to my mom on the phone. This morning before church we were busy talking about crafts and Christmas and plans and she said, "OH! Did you see Debbie's cute post today? You HAVE to go check it out she is just too cute!" So here I am and as always Mom is right. What a precious story about you and your hubby.
They say that everything that glitters isn't gold but I'd have to disagree-It's all what's in your heart, the things that bring you joy~♥ You are the Queen of glitter...Designer jeans and all!
God Bless You,
Robin~♥
