Glue is what makes friends stick together!

Welcome, come on over for a visit! Let's visit over some coffee and ....glue!
I never used Mod Podge until I met Char! What a great tutorial she had on Mod Podge and cinnamon, cloves, nutmegs...you name it, if it was a great smelling spice, she had used it with glue of all things! I was intrigued!
Here http://charsethman.blogspot.com/2008/09/tuesdays-tutorial-primitive-luminaries.html she shared a great idea spices....don't miss this, it is a great tutorial.
Anyhoodle (intelligent red headed language) I wondered "What else could be glued, spiced, Mod Podged....and I emailed her with my idea....she had thought of something similar!
I took a wooden plate and bowl, covered them with this mixture and sprinkled spices to my delight all over the plate and bowl.

The only problem is....I sprayed it with sealer and now I can't smell a thing!

I added candles, several pecans...looked a little 'dull'....sooooo I
just had to get the glitter out! Yipppeeee!

I took the little foam brush and just brushed around the end of the pecan...
Tell me does this look like an acorn? Hmmmmm....

I like this much better. Very inexpensive Thanksgiving decoration.

Blessings,

Debbie

Now I am just loving those glittered up nuts! I have a jar of them on my dryer that could use a little spinkle...they are so old I would never think of eating them, so might as well glitter them, right? Love it! Thanks!!

Isn't it fun to try new things?! I'm glad that you enjoyed making Sandy's Mini Cinnis. I finally got around to rolling out my ornamental gingerbread tonight. (It's been quite a week here!) My ornies are puffing up in the oven right now. I'll have to post about them soon so people can see how the dough bakes up. You'll love how easy they are!

Have a great night!
