A few little things...

Just a few little things I am working on getting ready for company, a lot of relatives....I bought some blank nametags (Martha Stewart) at Michael's and a package of fall diecuts...I glued them on in the corner...I had planned on writing everyone's name with a glue pen and then sprinkling it with glitter...turned out awful...my daughter suggested using a glitter gel pen! Well what do you know...I will get one today.
My hubby and I cooked all weekend for our church Thanksgiving dinner, 3 turkeys, gravy, sweet potatoe casserole, green bean casserole, corn pudding, green jello salad, fruit salad....it turned out amazing!

....we also shucked corn! Most of it had frozen so we couldn't eat it, but hubby wanted to save the corn to dry out and use the seeds next year. The seeds are indian corn and come in a variety of colors, burgundy, dark blue, rust, mix of all the colors, it is really beautiful and I will show more tomorrow.

Two ovens for more than one turkey....we usually cook for big crowds so we had to get another stove....would love a commercial stove...we did get a commercial refrigerator but it has no ice maker...boo hoo.

Did I mention there were alot of pots and pans to be washed? I decided to put my favorite music on and wash them as fast as possible! I also made up my mind not to complain! Easier said than done!

Debbie, thanks so much for stopping in and reading my little story and especially for your enthusiasm. It really isn't a contest. There is no winner. Anyone who writes a story wins, because we have tried something new. You should try it. It was fun. Again, thanks for your support on my blog. laurie
