Again, used some little halloween seed packets...
I hung the seed packets with ric rac...
The black container is from a thrift store, was an ugly brass color, spray painted black.
I thought about hanging some real seed packets from it, pumpkin and sunflower, just didn't see any in my hubby's stash! He has packets of seeds everywhere, I try to corral them so when he asks me for them I know where they are. He tends to set things down in the barn, shed, garden (2 acres worth), dining room table, under couch cushions...you get the picture. I as his loving and 'ONLY' wife get to retrace his steps and find these things...with an amazingly positive and cheerful attitude. Saying 'yes dear' with a smile is a skill I have learned from being married for (forever) 28 wonderful years. Picking up after your husband needn't be a frustrating act!! Think of it as extra excercise you wouldn't normally get otherwise. I wish I could say my thighs were skinny due to the squatting and bending over looking for things...but...now where was I? Oh yes, the seed packets...I didn't want to hang seed packets that were ugly!
Anyhooodle...(learned this new word from my highly intelligent red headed friend who has her masters!)
Thanks for stopping by
Debbie

Debbie, I love your tree & I have done that in the past - I think I got the idea from BHG or Country Living. They look so prim & simple. I thought my husband was the only one that lost things!

Yes, I get alot of excercise picking up after my hubby, I don't mind, I think it's from living by himself for so long!
The tree is adorable and I love the clothespins painted orange, what a neat idea!

Thank you for sharing! What a great idea! I was hoping to run across a 'family tree' for my wall I could make myself!
Debbie,
You are SO funny...yeah, you'd think all that picking up after hubbies and kiddos, we'd be all model material, wouldn't you? (Well speaking for me here)...it just doesn't seem to be working that way! lol!
AND very creative as I've said before. The tree looks great! I love how it turned out! You've been a busy bee, haven't you?
Have a wonderful weekend, Debbie

Cute post!!!
I thought I was the only one who had a hubby who can never find anything. I asked him one time if he thought I had a homing device in my uterus...lol.
I think we should nickname you the queen of spray paint. It all turns out so good.

I absolutely love your tree!
Love the tree! I want to make one too. I'm on the lookout for a good branch to use. What are those seed packets you have on there? Ones you made?
Your fall tree turned out so cute.
How very cute. Love the orange clothes pins. Mimi
This is very do-able! What a cool idea-I love your handmade seed packets (I'm sure you've seen the commerical where EVERYONE is asking mom where things are? I guess when you marry you just 'become' the track keeper of all things misplaced-lol; maybe its an exercise in kindness? I think I'll think of it that way;)
Very cute tree! I love seeing all the different takes on that stick tree in blogland. :o)
