SHOW AND TELL~Thrift store find!

Guess what,if you go to http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ you will find that it is Show and Tell Friday....do you have anything to show and tell. Then you should go over to Kelli's and sign up with Mr. Linky! Kelli has a wonderful blog and has the most beautiful pictures, posts, ideas, etc.

Todays' Show and Tell~Once in awhile you walk into a store...it could be a thrift store...and see something that you tell yourself...I hope no one else is looking this way....so I can get it!

Inside you are doing a little happy dance....because you actually have money this time...hiding it before any kids or hubby could find it...do you hide money?

I found this table, the drawers were hanging from it because something was broken off, but the bottom drawer looked like a flour drawer...the kind they have on Hoosiers. It is just a replica but I still liked the look of it...so I asked the lady at the counter how much it was...oh my gosh it wasn't anything but a few dollars because of the broken pieces, I practically knocked people over getting out the door with it. Yippeeee!

These sweet little measuring cups are from my farmer hubby's great grandmother!

Here you can see the drawer a little better. I may start hiding my valuables here...hahaha,
hubby thinks our valuables are His tractor, His farm tools, the barn, the chicken pen...need Igo on....

I think it needs a little spray paint...in time in time.

Thanks so much for coming by.

Hi Debbie!

That is a SWEET piece of furniture. You did good on that thrift shop adventure. I need to learn to thrift shop (and find some stores around me) and get my spray paint can out too!

Happy Halloween!

Hi Debbie:
Cute table...it almost looks like it could of been a sewing machine at one time. Does the top open?
I know you'll have your trusty can of black spray paint out soon!!!
Pretty measuring cups too.
I totally understand about what your hubby thinks your valuables are, I have the same problem here. Except I can agree with your hubby on one thing...the tractor is valuable. We were pricing some used ones and it's almost like buying a car!!!!

I love your wonderful thrift store find--I can't wait to hear what you will do with it. If it were me, I would paint it with cream-colored enamel and then distress it for that shabby-chic look. Well, that's what Linden here would do--I love the little pitchers from Himself's family. What is he thinking that "his" farm stuff are the treasures?

Let's straighten him out!

Seriously, good job on the find! When you are back in town here sometime, let's go running around at yard sales and at the thrift stores (like we were going to last time!)--can't wait. Love you a bunch,

Red-headed Linden

That is a sweet table. Congrats on the find. I felt the same way when I found my dishes at Goodwill a few weeks ago. Don't want to act excited, but need to hurry before someone else gets it. :o)

You were so lucky to find that great table! LOOOVE IT! Yes, I know exactly how you feel when you find something and, like you said, you actually have the money to buy it and don't feel guilty because it's cheap. I'm sure I'll have those giddy feelings tomorrow morning while I'm yard saling. Love me some good yard sales!

That table is adorable and I love the tin underneath. I don't know what you paid for it. I know how much fun it is to try not to show your excitement, when you find a treasure.

I love all your stools and the measuring cups.

You know, sometimes I do get that feeling that no one else is looking at what I've spotted...and take my time slowly to get there so they don't see me rushing and get there before me! Enjoyed your find...Love the music on your blog as well!
