Cottage Style Living Area

Hello again. Do you find yourself on the search for something? Specific? I would like a few more shutters for my cottage living area. We have two rooms next to each other that are living areas. One has a tv in it with 3 couches and several chairs (the men migrate here for some reason) the other area has two couches and my two rooster chairs.

I love this area, it is very peaceful and very me. A little on the hodge podge side, but I love it.

I am on the lookout for more shutters...I just adore them...when I walk in this room and see these white shutters around the mirror it just does something to me.

The quilts, and pillows, shelves...I just love them all.

This red and white quilt I saw in the Penney's catalog and my mom got it for us for our 50th(ok only 28th, feels like 50 at times) anniversary. (Big smile) My farmer hubby said he didn't like so much red...I told him to think of it as the color of tomatoes! You have to talk to him in 'farm terms'.
The blue shutters I got in Boerne, Texas at a little store by my son's wedding. I was all dressed up and said 'stop' when I saw the cutest little store....I came back out with these babies on my head! Remember? You carry them "Vertizontally"...

This quilt I made many anniversaries ago, love this rooster chair my mother in law covered.

Well neighbors, that is it for today....

Have a blessed day!

Debbie

I love the colors. The room really is comfy and inviting :)

I love shutters...windows...those simple things. And yes, I find myself searching and searching for items. I keep looking for the perfect tall chimney cupboard. I know exactly where I want it and everything. Jeremy said he would just build me one to my specifications and I love that idea but it could be forever until he does! LOL

Thanks for sharing your living room :) Have a great day!

I love quilts too, I wish I knew how to make them!!! I loved your comment about your hubby not liking red so much and to think of tomatoes. Thats cute.
I remember the blog you did on finding the shutters and walking out of the store carrying them on your head...I laughed and laughed when I read that. I could just picture it.

OOOhhh...I'm thinking I need a chair like that rooster one...I'm a rooster collector from waaaayyy back-almost 30 years!! Nice!

I make "crackers" with my empty toilet paper rolls...in the fall, for Halloween and Thanksgiving as favors and at Christmas as placecards. Just cover with tissue, glitter it up good and stuff it with goodies-then tie the ends like candy with curling ribbon and VIOLA!! Crackers!!

Debbie; Love your rooster chair and all your quilts are so pretty and cozy looking. Your room looks so comfy a great place to curl up on a cold winter day and wrap you self in the quit and read or watch a old movie listen to great music or any thing else that makes life wonderful. Hope you find your shutters. If I see any I will give you a holler.

Hugs;

What a cozy place to relax and read and stitch or whatever! I love it! I am out of the loop in regards to the toilet paper rolls. Suddenly I am seeing comments about that and wonder what is going on. Maybe I better start saving mine too.
